What a mad few days!! Thanks to all the guys who turned up a Hotel California on Thursday night, hope you all had a ball, we sure did! Thanks to Brenda and Shaun for this bird's eye view report posted on the Official Marc Bolan Fan Club website forum and for their permission to use it here! Cheers guys!!...................................................................... A Bird’s Eye View On Jeepster By Shaun. As A fan of live music I jumped at the chance to see Jeepster, a T. Rex tribute band. I was invited by a friend & neighbour, a T.Rex fanatic Brenda Shepherd having never seen a T.Rex tribute band before I have no one to compare Jeepster to, I have been informed that T.Rextasy are the mutts nutts when it comes down to it but Jeepster can’t be far behind. The location was the Overtown club in Rhyl, sort of a bar come nightclub with a good bar and good service, and good beer. The band mixed in the bar area with fans and locals, with no big ego’s or pretensions apparent. The charismatic lead singer Jai showed lots of the legends characteristics both on and off the stage. As a friend of Brenda I have seen enough footage of Marc Bolan to recognise that Jai is a very convincing front man. The entire band seemed like committed musicians but humble with it, the drummer was even good enough to remind me to remove the lens cap when filming without laughing too much. T.Rex fans young old locals and lesbian’s bopped the night away to a barrage of T.Rex classics, Jeepster may still have a rough edge to them but this added to the atmosphere. Although I cannot compare as I have not seen T.Rextasy or Toorex my advice would be T.Rex fans or not go and see Jeepster and go with a little Marc in your heart. By Shaun

Update on the album!!! Jeepster are nearing completion of their long awaited album! Containing at least 10 tracks of T.rex classics including Get It On, Telegram Sam and Life's a Gas, it will be available to buy at gigs and through the site. Final mixes and mastering will be taking place over the next three weeks with artwork and duplication hopefully occuring in mid April. Watch this space and check out the samples on our SET LIST section. Boogie on !! xx
